Welcome!
This is already the 2nd newsletter of 2012,
and we are again demonstrating our commitment to bringing the
most exciting products and services to the market.
In this newsletter, we announce the availability of the
Navigation and
Messaging Platform.
Since the initial introduction in the last newsletter additional
power and flexibility have been introduced into the platform, so
the product stands with even more stars!
The PNM-100 product constitutes a complete navigation and
messaging solution with a professional and ruggedized Windows CE
device and the NMP software pre-installed with Sygic maps
according to user requirements. Ready to use!
In RTCU IDE 5.96 and X32 firmware 2.64 we
introduce a new concept for ordering and activating device
options - such as found on the RTCU CX1 flex product. There is
no more need for using cumbersome activation barcodes with this
exciting feature.
On-demand options can be ordered and activated, when needed all
within the RTCU IDE environment, or directly by the VPL
application running in the RTCU unit.
With the on-demand options a more flexible and economical
approach to device options is introduced with great benefits for
our customers.

Navigation and
Messaging Platform

Logic IO Navigation and Messaging Platform
(NMP) is a powerful and open platform for
implementation of state-of the-art advanced fleet
management applications integrating navigation, messaging,
driver identification and job dispatch capabilities.
The NMP
platform works on almost any Microsoft Windows CE 5.0
based device and is based on the market leading
Sygic navigation engine
tightly integrated into the powerful RTCU concept.
The Logic IO Navigation and Messaging Platform
(NMP) is fully backward compatible with already developed RTCU
applications utilizing the Garmin FMI
interface, but extends the functionality to a new level of power
and flexibility. A number of user defined on-screen keys can be
defined and controlled in almost any way and additionally the
Mobile Data Terminal (MDT-200) API is fully
supported opening up for a new level of customized user
interaction.

To connect
the RTCU unit to the NMP device, a special
interface box/cable is required. It is also possible to connect the
NMP device to the RTCU IDE Simulator allowing
rapid development of
complete fleet management and messaging applications within the RTCU IDE
environment.

RTCU IDE V5.96
This release of the RTCU IDE supports additional functionality and
documentation related to the new Navigation and Messaging
Platform as found in X32 firmware V2.64.
RTCU on-demand unit options - such as found on the RTCU CX1 flex
- can now be ordered and activated on-line from within the RTCU
IDE.

X32 Firmware V2.64
This release for the entire
X32 series has enhanced support for the NMP (Navigation and Messaging
Platform) and the possibility for the VPL application to
request on-demand unit options such as the RTCU CX1 flex
options.
