In this newsletter we are releasing a new
version of the Navigation
and Messaging
Platform with new
features and enhanced functionality.
The complete and ready to use
PNM-100 bundle was recently reduced in price
to bring it down to the level of the Garmin Dezl
560, but with considerable more power and
flexibility!
The
Logic IO
Navigation
and Messaging
Platform
(NMP) is a powerful and open platform for
implementation of state-of the-art advanced fleet
management applications integrating navigation, messaging,
driver identification and job dispatch capabilities.
The NMP
platform works on almost any Microsoft Windows CE 5.0
/ 6.0
based device and is based on the market leading
Sygic navigation engine
tightly integrated into the powerful RTCU concept.
The Logic IO Navigation and Messaging Platform
(NMP) is fully backward compatible with already developed RTCU
applications utilizing the Garmin FMI
interface but extends the functionality to a new level of power
and flexibility. A number of user defined on-screen
buttons and dialogs can be
defined and controlled in almost any way and additionally the
Mobile Data Terminal (MDT-200) API is fully
supported, thus opening up for a new level of customized user
interaction.

To connect
the RTCU unit to the NMP device, a special
interface box/cable is required. It is also possible to connect the
NMP device to the RTCU IDE Simulator,
thus allowing
rapid development of
complete fleet management and messaging applications within the RTCU IDE
environment.

Navigation and
Messaging Platform
V1.34
This is an upgrade package
for the Navigation and
Messaging Platform
V1.34.
Enhancements:
-
Hidden menu
buttons can be configured to become visible if the sub-menu
is needed,
e.g. if a message is received. -
Menu
and bottom buttons can be collapsed, to provide as much
space for the
navigation area as possible. -
Custom
buttons will use the entire width of the screen.
-
Buttons
in sub menus can be hidden, to remove unneeded features.
-
The
menu can be configured to have the navigation view use a
separate menu button,
with all the menu buttons showing their main views when clicked, instead
of the
navigation view. -
MDT
menu button can be hidden, making it possible to control it
completely from
the RTCU unit. -
Improved
user interface for writing messages.
-
Update
process now includes checks to determine if the update can
be applied to
the installed version. -
+ other
minor enhancements.
Bug-fixes:
- Fixed alignment
issue in confirmation dialog.
- Driver button did
not flash when driver was updated.
- The list of stops no
longer show invalid distances when the GPS position is not
certain.
