Navigation and Messaging Platform V3.00
Released:  February 28, 2016.


This is an upgrade package for the Navigation and Messaging Platform V3.00 with major and important improvements.

Enhancements:

  •  Sygic navigation engine has been  upgraded to the latest version (15j).
  •  Screen saver functionality added to the PNM-2XX series.
  •  + other minor enhancements.

Bug-fixes:

  •  GUI could sometimes hang waiting for a response to an unavailable location.
  •  Calibration of touch screen was not always saved.
  •  nmpStopClose closes the topmost message, instead of just the stop.
  •  + other bug-fixes.


Some features requires the use of the new firmware V4.50.

Released:  September  29, 2014.


This is an upgrade package for the Navigation and Messaging Platform V2.12.

Released:  March 3, 2014.


This is an upgrade package for the Navigation and Messaging Platform V2.10 with major and important improvements, including support for the new PNM-220 series.

  •  + other minor enhancements and bug fixes.


This release requires use of X32 Firmware V3.15 and RTCU IDE 6.54.

 

 

Navigation and Messaging Platform V2.00
Released:  January 21, 2013.

This is an upgrade package for the Navigation and Messaging Platform V2.00 with major and important improvements, including support for the new PNM-200 series.

Enhancements:

  •  Support for the new PNM-200 series with dual camera, hardware buttons, back-light and status LED's.
  •  Sygic navigation engine has been  upgraded to the latest version.
  •  Support for defining a colour theme for the application.
  •  Automatic switching between "day theme" and "night theme" at sunrise and sunset.
  •  New function to retrieve the "home" position set by the user.
  •  Popped up destinations can be closed with an optional timeout.
  •  A button is added to clear driver ID and status.
  •  The acoustic indication when stops and messages are added / deleted can be disabled.
  •  When the map menu button is enabled, clicking it, while it is active will now close any open menus and return to the map.
  •  Hiding and showing the menu and the custom buttons can be controlled from the RTCU.
  •  Support for muting the device can be controlled from the RTCU.
  •  Route can be cleared, when the destination has been reached.
  •  Route summary is now removed, when the destination is deleted.
  •  Replies to messages now use the message ID of the original message.
  •  Faster start-up. 
  •   + other minor enhancements.

Bug-fixes:

  •  Update progress events could fill the event queue with potential loss of important events to navWaitEvent.
  •  + other minor bugs.


Many of the enhancements above require the hardware support offered by the PNM-200 series.
 

IMPORTANT:
This release introduces a change in the colour format used with nmpButtonCreate, nmpButtonColor and nmpButtonFlash requiring minor VPL code changes.


Update procedure:
Due to the size of this update it should not be transferred from the RTCU, but must be updated manually.
This update will require two restarts with confirmation between each restart.

 

 

 

Navigation and Messaging Platform V1.34
Released:  October 22, 2012.

This is an upgrade package for the Navigation and Messaging Platform V1.34.

Enhancements:

  •  Hidden menu buttons can be configured to become visible if the sub-menu is needed, e.g. if a message is received.
  •  Menu and bottom buttons can be collapsed, to provide as much space for the navigation area as possible.
  •  Custom buttons will use the entire width of the screen.
  •  Buttons in sub menus can be hidden, to remove unneeded features.
  •  The menu can be configured to have the navigation view use a separate menu button, with all the menu buttons
     showing their main views when clicked, instead of the navigation view.
  •  MDT menu button can be hidden, making it possible to control it completely from the RTCU unit.
  •  Improved user interface for writing messages.
  •  Update process now includes checks to determine if the update can be applied to the installed version.
  •   + other minor enhancements.

Bug-fixes:

  •  Fixed alignment issue in confirmation dialog.
  •  Driver button did not flash when driver was updated.
  •  The list of stops no longer show invalid distances when the GPS position is not certain.

 

 


 

 

Navigation and Messaging Platform V1.20
Released:  July 2, 2012.

 

This is an upgrade package for the Navigation and Messaging Platform V1.20.

The full list of news:

Enhancements:

  •  The communication speed can be increased from the default 9600 baud to a maximum of 57600 baud,
     thus allowing for faster and more stable communication, as well as faster updates.
  •  Stops can be configured to pop up when added, similar to how messages can pop up.
  •  Custom sounds can be played and optionally repeated.
  •  Added dialogs that make it possible to ask questions and show information,
     providing the most common dialog buttons. Dialog can be dismissed by the application.
  •  NMP buttons can optionally require confirmation when activated.
  •  The NMP volume is altered according to vehicle speed. Adjustable from the GUI.
  •   + other minor enhancements.

Bug-fixes:

  •  Removed extra back button from sent message.
  •  Removed large delay of GPS coordinates on RTCU when NMP loses connection.


The above features also require the installation of the new RTCU IDE 6.10.
