System-firmware V1.05.00 includes Runtime-firmware V2.10.00. Requires RTCU IDE V9.94.

Released:   July 2, 2022.

 

Runtime-firmware V2.02.00 includes the following improvements:

Enhancements:

  •   Much faster and improved handling of certificates.

 Bug Fixes:

  •  Possible crash when playing audio over the cellular interface.
  •  Spurios crash when operating in Modbus slave mode.
  •  gsmPower could hang if the APN was incorrect.

(CRITICAL UPGRADE)
Released:  April 18, 2022.

IMPORTANT:
This is a critical firmware upgrade that *must be installed* to avoid potentially failing devices that are unable to boot.


System-firmware V1.04.00 / Runtime-firmware V2.00.00 / Monitor-firmware V2.00.00  includes the following improvements:

Enhancements:

  •  Flexible debounce support when using high-speed PCT inputs.
  •  Enhanced boot safety and recovery.

 Bug Fixes:

  •  In rare cases, the device is unable to boot due to failed low-level recovery.
  •  The internal drive is in some cases completely lost.
  •  Entering power-saving mode could sometime fail.
  •  Delay in the RS485 data flow could result in communication errors.
  •  The backlight was not always restored on the RTCU LX4 pro at keypress.
  •  hsioEncoderReset with wait=1 in mode 0 did not work.
  •  Encryption in the RCH Fallback profile did not work.


Installation steps and instructions:
Step 1.
Transfer Monitor-firmware V2.00.00 to the device and reboot.
Step 2.
Transfer System-firmware V1.04.00 to the device and reboot.
This step also installs Runtime-firmware V2.00.00
Step 3.
Check in the system information that the expected firmware versions have been successfully installed.
Note that it is impossible to read out the Monitor version until the System-firmware has been applied.

When using the RDS the same steps should be observed, but after the Monitor-firmware has been transferred the RDS will report a "version mismatch" until the System-firmware has been applied.

Runtime-firmware V1.98.00 includes the following improvements:

  •  Improved CAN bus timing for enhanced performance and compatibility.
  •  Enhanced power saving mode support with reduced power consumption.
  •  pmDeepSleep now enters a true power saving mode.
  •  The Navigation/FMI API is now fully supported.
  •  Better RF ISM performance.

 Bug Fixes:

  •  The 1-wire interface did not work after resuming from a power saving mode.
  •  M-Bus API could hang during configuration.
  •  The GNSS interface was not handled correctly when entering/exiting from power saving modes.


This Runtime-firmware version requires System-firmware V1.02.00.

 


Runtime-firmware V1.96.00
Released:  December 23, 2021.


Runtime-firmware V1.96.00 includes the following improvements:

Enhancements:

  •  New and powerful M-Bus API for the  RTCU LX4 pro and the RTCU NX-400.
  •  Improvement in the CAN ISO-TP implementation.
     Supports extended CAN id's and up to 64 sessions on each CAN channel.
  •  Update of GlobalSign Root CA Certificates (R1, R3, R6).

 Bug Fixes:

  •  Opening/closing a data session (GPRS) could stop working after a long time.
  •  Entering suspend did not succeed after a certain period of time.
  •  Local variables in a callback function were not initialized to zero.


This Runtime-firmware version requires System-firmware V1.02.00.

 

 

Runtime-firmware V1.92.00 for LX devices
Released:  September 6, 2021.

Runtime-firmware V1.92.00 for LX devices includes the following improvements:

Bug Fixes:

  •  On some devices, boardTemperature() showed too high a temperature.
  •  DHCP did not always work over LAN/WLAN.


Runtime-firmware V1.92.00 requires System-firmware V1.02.00.

 

 

Runtime-firmware V1.91.50
Released:  July 10, 2021.

Runtime-firmware V1.91.50 includes the following improvements:

Bug Fixes:

  •  Using GPS/GNSS creates an NMEA logfile placed at the internal drive as "system\log\nmea.log".
     This file was intended for internal development purposes.
     


Runtime-firmware V1.91.50 requires System-firmware V1.02.00.

 

 

RTCU LX5 series System-firmware V1.02.00
Released:  July 4, 2021.

RTCU LX5 series Delta System-firmware V1.02.00 includes the following improvements:

  •  In some cases, the CAN bus did not work reliably.


NOTE: This is a delta firmware that requires that System-firmware V1.01.00 is already installed.


System-firmware V1.02.00 includes Runtime-firmware V1.90.00.

 

RTCU LX5 series System-firmware V1.01.00
Released:  May 15, 2021.

RTCU LX5 series Delta System-firmware V1.01.00 includes the following improvements:

 
Enhancements and new functionality:

  •  Improved system performance and latency.
  •  Full audio support, including voice calls and DTMF.
  •  Hot-plug of the SD-CARD is now supported.
  •  Enhanced handling of routing when using multiple network interfaces.

Bug Fixes:

  •  Possible crash when using WLAN.
  •  The JWT API did not work.
  •  Wake-up from a CAN event did not work.


NOTE: This is a delta firmware that requires that System-firmware V1.00.01 is already installed.

System-firmware V1.01.00 includes Runtime-firmware V1.90.00.
