RTCU CX1 warp mk2 series

The RTCU CX1 warp mk2 series offers worldwide UMTS/HSPA support and a state-of-the-art GNSS positioning engine.
Available in just two variants taking advantage of the powerful "
hardware on-demand" where options can be applied any time - even remotely after installation!
 

The RTCU CX1 warp mk2 series are compact, waterproof and ruggedized telematics tracking and control devices, based on the powerful X32-architecture. The series sports a long list of standard features and can be further upgraded when required with powerful on-demand hardware options.

The RTCU CX1 warp mk2 series are available in two versions: 

  •  RTCU CX1 warp 3G
     
    With RS232/FMI and 1-wire, but no CAN bus.
  •  RTCU CX1 warp-c 3G 
     
    With CAN bus, but no RS232/FMI or 1-wire.

Except for the differences listed above the two variants are identical.

The RTCU CX1 warp mk2 series is designed for a broad variety of advanced telemetry / telematics applications and has been manufactured according to the highest technical standards for professional automotive and industrial use.  The product has all necessary regulatory approvals – including 2004/104/EC / UN ECE R10 and CE mark.

The RTCU CX1 warp mk2 series include many sophisticated standard features and can be further upgraded as required with the following on-demand hardware features: 

     I/O:         2 x digital inputs, 2 x digital outputs and 1 x analog input (total).
    
RF:          Medium range ISM band RF transceiver with on-board antenna.

    
COM:      RS232/FMI and 1-Wire bus (warp) or CAN (warp-c).
    
FLASH:    Micro-SD card reader and 3 MB extended flash. FREE!

The 'FLASH' option is FREE and just requires activation.

Options can be applied on-demand even remotely by the unit already installed in the field.

RTCU NX-400 - Professional Industrial M2M/IIoT Gateway

The RTCU NX-400 is a powerful M2M/IIoT Gateway device, that rests on an entirely new hardware and software architecture representing a major leap in functionality, power, openness and performance.

The RTCU AX9 encore is a cost-efficient device based on the full powered RTCU AX9 turbo offering a wide range of features and performance critical features such as full support for the NX32 Execution Architecture.

The

RTCU SX1 series

The RTCU SX1 is a stand-alone tracking, monitoring and data collection device designed for applications, which require extremely long operating time without access to external power. Based on the X32 generation of RTCU products the SX1 series introduces zero-power saving mode reducing the power consumption in the deepest hibernation mode to virtually nothing. This state-of-the-art technology allows the unit to operate as long as 10 years with no external power!

The RTCU SX1 is a compact tracking, monitoring and data collection device especially designed for stand-alone as well as extremely long operating time in harsh environments. The product is fully integrated in an IP66 ingress-protected ruggedized plastic box, that can withstand years of operation. The zero-power saving mode allows the unit to enter power saving mode - waking up on the on-board 3D accelerometer, digital input change or after a certain time period – and to stay in this mode virtually forever only limited by the battery technology in use!

The RTCU SX1 series is available in versions for standard GSM (RTCU SX1 pro) and railroad based GSM-R (RTCU SX1 pro-r) for advanced and reliable asset tracking in a wide range of application segments. The RTCU SX1 series has support for medium range wireless communication using the ISM 868 MHz frequency band. This feature allows implementation of wireless sensors, RF-tracking and simple remote key fob applications.

For usage in various application scenarios there is no less than four on-board battery configurations available ranging up to a massive 58 Ah non-rechargeable pack.
The RTCU SX1 series has on-board antennas for GSM, GPS and ISM RF with an optional feature to use external antennas for longer range or for specialized applications, where the unit is installed in metal enclosures etc. Switching back and forth from internal to external GSM/ISM antennas can even be controlled programmatically by the application.

In addition to the powerful features allowing long-term autonomous operation the RTCU SX1 series also offers the possibility to operate from external power and has digital and analog I/O as well as 1-wire and an RS232 port available for the most demanding applications. For flexible external interfacing the three PG7 blinds can be substituted with PG7 glands for IP66 protected cable entry.

For RTCU SX1 series has many other sophisticated features such as: Micro SD-CARD with up to 32 GB capacity and a 512 Kbyte internal flash drive with a FAT32 compatible file-system for easy sharing of files locally and remotely with a PC/server.

2 Megapixel camera for the MX2 turbo/warp and DX4 pro

The 2 Megapixel Camera for the RTCU MX2 turbo and  RTCU DX4 pro extends the functionality of the RTCU platform with the capability to take high-resolution colour pictures in standard JPEG format. The pictures taken can be transmitted over the
network to a server and/or saved to an SD-CARD file.

The 2 Megapixel Camera supports implementation of applications such as:

  •  Remote monitoring of equipment, devices, work areas and locations.
  •  Vehicle, including driver/passenger, monitoring.
  •  Security applications.
  •  Any event-trigger applications.
  •  Stealth security applications.
  •  ....many other applications where "a picture is worth a thousand words"...

The camera connects directly to the RTCU unit and requires no external power-supply. Delivered with 3 meter cable.

RTCU MX2 turbo 2G/3G

The RTCU MX2 turbo 2G/3G has been designed for a broad variety of advanced telemetry / telematics applications and is made according to the highest technical standards for professional automotive and industrial use.

The RTCU MX2 turbo 2G/3G  uses the NX32 execution model and is fully backward compatible with the X32 execution model of the former RTCU MX2i series. Existing software will therefore be able to operate without any changes or costly re-testing. Mechanically and electrically the RTCU MX2 turbo 2G/3G  is fully back-ward compatible with the former RTCU MX2i pro and constitutes therefore a direct plug-in replacement.

The RTCU MX2 turbo 2G/3G  is designed for a broad variety of advanced telemetry / telematics applications and has been designed according to the highest technical standards for professional automotive and industrial use. The product has all necessary regulatory approvals – including 2004/104/EC / UN ECE R10 – edition 5 and CE mark.

The positioning is enhanced with a state-of-the-art GNSS receiver with GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS and QZSS support.

The RTCU MX2 encore is cost-efficient device based on the full powered RTCU MX2 turbo. It has been designed for a broad variety of advanced telemetry / telematics applications and is made according to the highest technical standards for professional automotive and industrial use.


The RTCU MX2 encore is based on the top-of-the-line RTCU MX2 turbo with certain features carefully omitted for a perfect balance between price and functionality.

The RTCU MX2 encore uses the next generation NX32 execution model and is fully backward compatible with the X32 execution model of the former RTCU MX2i series. Existing software will therefore be able to operate without any changes or costly re-testing. Mechanically and electrically the RTCU MX2 encore is back-ward compatible with the RTCU MX2i eco+ and the RTCU MX2i pro and constitutes therefore in most cases a direct plug-in replacement.

Bluetooth for the RTCU MX2i pro / MX2 turbo / DX4 pro / AX9 pro / AX9 turbo

The Bluetooth Smart-antenna is an exciting accessory for the RTCU MX2i pro / RTCU MX2 turbo / RTCU DX4 pro / RTCU AX9 pro / RTCU AX9 turbo. It allows a wide group of applications to be implemented. The Bluetooth Smart-antenna supports the Serial Port Profile (SPP) and Hands-free Profile Audio Gateway (HFP-AG). These profiles supports connection to a wide range of devices, such as: PDA, Printer, Barcode reader, RFID reader, headset and hands-free speakerphone.
The Bluetooth Smart-antenna is easy-to-use through the dedicated functions in the RTCU IDE development software.

The Bluetooth Smart-antenna hands-free profile is fully compatible with the Garmin Bluetooth hands-free feature!

Ethernet module for the MX2 turbo / DX4 pro

The ETH-100 add-on module allows connection to the RTCU Gateway Professional or to any TCP/IP socket enabled device through a standard LAN or through an increasing number of Wi-Fi hot-spots globally available. Using (W)LAN in many cases means that large amount of data can be transferred for FREE or at a very low cost. The WLAN-100 / ETH-100 supplements mobile data and both communication methods can be used selectable under full control of the VPL application.

The WLAN-100 supports connection to a standard Wi-Fi access point and is supplied with the necessary interface cable for the MX2 turbo or DX4 pro and a SMA antenna.

The ETH-100 supports connection to a standard Ethernet 10/100 Mbps cable infrastructure and is supplied with the necessary interface cable for the MX2 turbo or DX4 pro and a RJ45 patch cable.

Advanced configuration is supported using an easy to use web-based interface, where various parameters such as DHCP / IP-address, net-mask and security parameters are configured. Supports security using WEP, WPA and WPA2.

The RTCU DX4i warp is a member in the powerful RTCU DX4 series offering a major boost in capacity and performance.  The product now hosts a large 4 MB internal flash drive, 4.5 MB of datalogger/persistent memory for the most demanding M2M applications. The RTCU CX1i pro/pro+ is a compact, waterproof and ruggedized telematic tracking and control platform, based on the powerful X32-architecture also found in the popular MX2i Series. In addition to a long list of standard features, the RTCU CX1i pro/pro+ sports a state-of-the-art 66-channels SuperGPS receiver with unprecedented performance. The RTCU CX1i flex is a compact and ruggedized telematic tracking and control platform based on the powerful X32-architecture.
The RTCU CX1i flex offers a unique and outstanding approach allowing seamless upgrade with new hardware options – even after the product has been installed in the field!
With a fully upgraded RTCU CX1i flex the functionality is approaching that of RTCU CX1i pro – merely lacking the RF transceiver and SD-CARD reader!

Enfora SA-G+ GSM/GPRS Modem

The Enfora SA-G+ modem is a certified quad-band integrated platform, that enables simple integration through a standard RS232 serial connection. Small compact modem with functions such as GPRS, data calls (CSD), speech and SMS. External SIM-card holder w. lock. Supply for 6-40VDC.

VGA Camera Module for the RTCU MX2i pro / DX4 pro / AX9 pro


The VGA Camera Module for the RTCU MX2i pro, RTCU DX4 pro and RTCU AX9 pro is extending the functionality of this powerful platform with the capability to take colour pictures in standard JPEG format. The pictures taken can be transmitted over the network to a server and/or saved to an SD-CARD file.

The Camera Module supports implementation of applications such as:

RTCU-AX9 eco


The RTCU AX9 eco is a low-cost version based on the full-featured and powerful RTCU AX9 pro that still hosts a long list of advances features.
Compared to the RTCU AX9 pro the RTCU AX9 eco differs on the following features:

  •  No 868 Mhz ISM RF band transceiver.
  •  No SD-CARD reader.
  •  No secondary RS232 port.
  •  No standard RS485 port.
  •  No support for accessories such as Bluetooth, VGA Camera, Ethernet/WiFi.
  •  No analog outputs and only 2 analog inputs.
  •  No expansion slot.
  •  Low-capacity battery.
  •  No Enhanced X32 memory support. 

The RTCU AX9 eco has been designed ground up for professional wireless industrial applications with its strong on-board I/O capabilities and multiple communication interfaces such as: 1-Wire, USB, RS232 and optional RS485. For world-wide operation the RTCU AX9 eco offers full quad-band GSM support with internal or external antenna.

The RTCU AX9 eco offers many other sophisticated features such as: a 512 Kbyte internal flash drive with a FAT32 compatible file-system for easy sharing of files locally and remotely. There is optional support for a Mobile Data Terminal for advanced user interaction.

The RTCU AX9 eco is based on the well proven RTCU X32-architecture sharing powerful features such as: IVR (Interactive Voice Response) implementation using Voice/DTMF, SMS/PDU messages, optimized host implemented TCP/IP stack with full support for the Logic IO Gateway concept. Using the Logic IO VSMS (Virtual SMS) technology SMS, GPRS and CSD (Datacall) merge together, allowing any RTCU application, that uses the VSMS-messages paradigm, to transparently send / receive messages using either SMS, GPRS or CSD (Datacall) without any changes to the software already developed.

The unit has full SMTP support for sending e-mails with attachments and file transfer with FTP for easy exchange of information with external sources.

The RTCU AX9 eco is fully programmable using the user-friendly Integrated Development Environment (RTCU IDE) running under Windows. In the environment the complete application is developed, simulated and finally transferred to the unit via a standard USB port or remotely using GPRS or CSD (Datacall).

RT-EX-9036:  6 Analog RTD Sensor Inputs. 16 Bit

To expand the I/O capability of certain RTCU products an MODBUS compatible I/O module can be connected to the product and configured using the I/O Expansion configuration functionality available in the RTCU IDE. The I/O Expansion is completely transparent to the application and remote I/O are therefore accessed and used exactly as on-board I/O.

Logic IO are offering a range of MODBUS I/O modules that are high-quality, low-cost and extremely easy to set-up and use due to the set-up utility included in the RTCU IDE.

The EX9036 module offers 6 Analog RTD Inputs with a resolution of 16 bits.
PT-100 sensors in various configuration is supported with a high resolution of 16 Bit.

VGA Camera Module for the RTCU MX2i pro / RTCU DX4 pro / RTCU AX9 pro

The VGA Camera Module for the RTCU MX2i pro, RTCU DX4 pro and RTCU AX9 pro is extending the functionality of this powerful platform with the capability to take colour pictures in standard JPEG format. The pictures taken can be transmitted over GPRS to a server and/or saved to an SD-CARD file.
The Camera Module is supporting implementation of applications such as:

RTCU M11Gi

The M11Gi unit is especially designed for mobile GPRS enabled applications.
The product is supplied in a metal enclosure well suited for mounting in vehicles with external connection for dual band GSM antenna (SMA female), GPS antenna (SMB Male), power, headset connector, 1-Wire/iButton interface and digital/analog I/O. 

The unit has 5 digital inputs (including ignition input), 4 relay outputs, 4 analog inputs and two RS232 serial ports (same pin-out as a standard PC com port), one of them selectable as RS485 (option). The RTCU-M11G MAX is powered with 9..36VDC. 
There is an on-board 12 Channel GPS-receiver, a temperature sensor and the possibility to connect 1-Wire devices such as an ID-Button reader or Temperature sensors.

The unit has support for voice/DTMF user interaction. The RTCU-M11G MAX unit has support for advanced power-down / deep-sleep features for low power consumption.

The 4 digital inputs can be configured as S0-compatible (IEC 62053-31) inputs

RTCU A9i LAN

The RTCU A9i LAN product is a combination of the RTCU A9i product and Ethernet add-on module separately available for the MX2i Pro product.

The RTCU A9i LAN product has the same features as a standard RTCU A9i MAX product with the addition of Ethernet as an alternative method for establishing a connection to the GPRS Gateway Professional. With the powerful API available the application can decide, whether the Gateway connection should be established over GPRS or Ethernet, and therefore a failsafe fallback mechanism can be easily implemented.

The RTCU A9i LAN product supports connection to a standard Ethernet 10/100 Mbps cable infrastructure and is supplied with a standard CAT-5e RJ45 female connector.

Advanced configuration is supported using an easy to use web-based interface, where various parameters such as DHCP / IP-address, net-mask and security parameters are configured.

RTCU M11i

The M11i unit is especially designed for advanced GPRS enabled applications.
The product is supplied in a metal enclosure well suited for mounting in vehicles with external connection for dual band GSM antenna (SMA female), power, headset connector, 1-Wire/iButton interface and digital/analog I/O. 

The RTCU M11i MAX has 512 KByte flash memory for datalogging/parameters and support for voice/DTMF user interaction. As a factory installed option the flash memory can be upgraded with additional 8 Mbyte for data intensive applications.

The unit has 5 digital inputs (including ignition input), 4 relay outputs, 4 analog inputs and two RS232 serial ports (same pinout as a standard PC com port), one of them selectable as RS485 (option). The RTCU-M11i MAX is powered with 9..36VDC. 
There is an on-board temperature sensor and the possibility to connect 1-Wire devices such as an ID-Button reader or Temperature sensors.

The unit has support for voice/DTMF user interaction. The RTCU-M11i MAX unit has support for advanced powerdown / deepsleep features for low power consumption.

Fully programmable from within the RTCU IDE development environment.

The unit has all the necessary approvals, including the 95/54/EC / ECE-R10 (E1) approval for automotive electronics.

RTCU D4 MAX

The RTCU D4 MAX product is delivered in a M36 DIN enclosure for mounting on
standard DIN rail (EN50022) with a SMA female connector for easy connection to a GSM dual band antenna. The unit has 12 digital inputs, 12 digital outputs, 4 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs and is powered with 8..34VDC. The unit comes standard with a backlit 2 x 16 characters LCD display. The unit has 512 KByte memory for datalogging/parameters and support for voice/DTMF user interaction. Fully programmable from within the RTCU IDE development environment. Optional RS485 support.

RTCU D4 CTRL

The RTCU D4 CTRL product is exactly the same hardware as the RTCU D4 MAX but
without the GSM module mounted. This makes the unit suitable for standalone operation or for I/O extending an RTCU D4 MAX (or any other RTCU unit with RS485 support).
Delivered standard with RS485 support.

MDT-100 Mobile Data Terminal

The Mobile Data Terminal (MDT-100) extends the RTCU MX2i pro or RTCU M11/M11i Series with a flexible and easy to use user-interface solution with many advanced features, allowing all kinds of two-way messaging applications to be implemented. 
The Mobile Data Terminal is easily connected to the RTCU unit and includes the following features:

RTCU M11 / M11i  Series Internal Battery Backup Module

The internal Battery Backup module for the RTCU M11/M11i Series offers uninterruptible operation even when a power failure of the external power supply occurs. The Backup Battery module is easy installable and is available with 1400 mAh capacity. The firmware support for the Battery Backup module includes notification of power failure and also a low battery indication when the battery voltage drops below a hardware programmed threshold.
An advanced charge circuit is integrated into the Battery Backup Module, this ensures a quick and correct charge of the batteries. By integrating the charger into the Battery Backup Module the sophisticated charge process is taken out of the hands of the user. When the charger is enabled the batteries will be charged once a day (scheduled by firmware) or whenever a power failure have occured. These automated mechanism will ensure an always fully charged Battery Backup Module ready for use.
